Introductions and General Discussion / Well the Day has finally come...
« on: January 02, 2019, 08:39:18 AM »
I've done my best to avoid doing it this winter but failed. I caved and started looking at car parts and sourcing parts and researching potential ideas and planning what I hope I can get done in 2019.

I was hoping to have the first winter in 12+ years where I took a break but its so ingrained in me that its impossible!

Whats everyone else looking at while they are huddled up this winter?

Introductions and General Discussion / My New Favourite Truck
« on: December 21, 2018, 09:08:49 AM »
I've always had a pipe dream of doing a car or truck in Matte white. A few people Ive told this too were all like "It will just look like its in primer, it will never look good, blah blah blah". If I were ever able to do it, it wouldnt be my mustang, it would be something else (I would still have my mustang). Maybe a family size fun car or maybe my non summer ride. Someday somehow, I want a Matte white car, with some gloss accents and whatever else I can come up with.
Yesterday I stumbled upon this: a 1951 Ford F-1 that was terminator swapped. Now its not something Id drive in the winter, nor can it fit a family of 4 but the rest of it is exactly what I was talking about above. Its almost a minimalist design and yet has big impact. This has got to be one of my favourite trucks of all time.

1951 ford f-1 Cobra Truck

•2003 supercharged cobra engine(64k miles)
•upper and lower pulleys
•BBK cold air intake
•moshimoto Radiator
•moshimoto intercooler
•dual moshimoto electric fans
•t-56 manual trans
•McLeod clutch
•mustang cobra leather/suede bucket seats
•Hurst tall shifter
•mustang SVT guages
•vintage heat/air underdash unit(only the a/c is hooked up)
•rear 4 link with coilovers
•mustang 8.8 rear end with disc brakes
•mustang disc brake front suspension
•power steering and power brakes
•custom driveshaft
•18 inch staggered FR500 wheels
•custom bed floor
•all new glass and rubber

For a cool $25,000 USD this could be yours!

2010 Ford Flex Limited
3.5L Duratec v6
All Wheel Drive
Factory HIDs with projectors

The colour is Dark Ink Blue with the white Vista Roof (4 sunroofs) with a Stone Leather interior
Wheels are aftermarket 18"

Its dirty on the outside, but here are a couple other shots

Introductions and General Discussion / Let's see you tool box
« on: August 02, 2018, 07:19:40 PM »
For most who works on cars, they require tools and some where to store the tools. It's also pretty common to put stickers on your tool box from parts you may have or you collection of dash plaques. I have done a bit of both on my 26" box.

So now that I've shown you mine, let's see yours

Who wants to meet for a Coffee Wednesday Night and then take a drive in around town.

Although the service wasnt the best, does the Tims on Great Northern and Second Line work. Park, chat will grabbing the beverages and then hit the streets. Maybe a Gros Cap run, or just a whirl around downtown?
