Some more updates on my brakes

Painted the Calipers yesterday, the colour is suppose to be HR Vintage Copper Pearl. I was expecting a bit more orange from the web sample but Im still happy with the colour

Needed to get the 8.8 up in the air to make it easier to work on. So I built something from left over lumber in the barn

Put in the new shocks. I've always had someone else put these in for me. What a simple task and I used all hand tools to keep the noise down. I'll do the springs when I do the brakes, just not enough time tonight

Got the springs in at the back. Would have done the brakes too but spent so much time getting the cross threaded lug off, didn't have the time.

No those are the old ones. I out the custom chrome ones I made on the back tires and forgot to bring the chrome ones with me to Joe's today. I don't actually like how my Chrome ones look now so I will probably be looking to replace them down the road.

Big thanks to Joe for all the help and work today. Car was fighting is in a few places today but Joe got the bolts to break free and the car is looking great and rides so much better

This is less of a "build" item and more of a repair but I had mentioned in the ShoutBox, When I started up my car this spring, the belt tensioner arm failed.

Old and New

You can see that the new one is by the same manufactuer, it just doesnt have the ford logo, which saved about $45

To add to my fun, you can see that one of the locator pins on the failed unit broke off, it broke off inside the mounting bracket, so I got to drill that out as well. You might also notice that the casing is jagged on the left. Its because the casing is what failed, not the spring.

Shiney new one installed

So when trying to locate this part, I found the life expectancy of the factory one. 10 years or 150,000km. I'd say the stock one doesnt owe me anything at 17 years and 188,000kms.

By the way, this Stufff worked great to loosen that bolt, and its from St. Joes Island!

And finally an updated shot of the car

The larger brakes look good!

Can you set up the site so posts in these threads show up in the recent post too?

Put the new chin spoiler on from Magic Drift. I also put in LED plate lights and new non scuffed plate covers.

Installed a new tablet based car stereo over the weekend, was a pain in the ass to get it to fit but came out ok.
